At the invitation of The Axis Agency, the Catholic Cares Coalition recently joined Health Net’s Review to Renew MediCal Redetermination Campaign with a focus on Southern California. Redetermination was suspended during the pandemic, so many current enrollees are unfamiliar with the process and the need to keep their information current. It’s very important that all Medi-Cal members update their household information to verify eligibility and not lose their benefits.
The California Department of Health Care Services estimates that 2 to 3 million Medi-Cal beneficiaries could lose their coverage. We all need to help Medi-Cal enrollees understand what they need to do and when they need to do it to maintain their coverage.
The toolkit provides flyers, social media graphics, an email template, and suggested web post copy to help you let your community know about the important changes coming up with Medi-Cal. These assets are meant to inform enrollees that the redetermination process is taking place and provide a timeline for members to update their Medi-Cal information.
Health Net can also arrange bulk printed flyers in various languages and either a pop-up tent or an RV for health fairs and community events. To coordinate, simply contact Media.Inquiries@HealthNet.com.
The coalition will coordinate with organizations and members working in Southern California. To support Medicaid redetermination awareness outside of California, consider the Catholic Health Association’s Protect What’s Precious campaign.
