Catholic Cares formed a year ago, focusing on COVID-19 vaccination as an act of charity and solidarity. Through Catholic social teachings and emphasizing the Pope’s strong message on vaccinations, the coalition has made a positive contribution to increasing vaccine acceptance and global vaccine equity. With a strong communication strategy, website with resources, webinars, the coalition has been able to improve COVID-19 education. Catholic Cares has been able to provide microgrants to many organizations focused on increasing vaccine rates. The Catholic Development Council will recognize the work of the coalition with their "Non-Profit of the Year Award" later this month in Milwaukee.
The short podcast ends with three important suggestions on how we can get through this time together by caring for each other.
